For San Francisco Design Week we decided that a conversation about diversity was needed, so we set up a panel and invited a couple of industry leaders to get their perspectives on how to challenge ourselves to grow. Hosted by Beyond San Francisco, we spoke in front an audience of 100 guests, and touched on topics that raised important questions and needs.

DEI was a constant hot topic and most of us were exhausted from the lack of action. While we held engaging and insightful talks internally we felt the need to speak with others on the outside in the hopes of sparking bigger actions.

I spearheaded the initiative to create this panel and gathered a team of designers, writers, strategists, and project managers from San Francisco and NYC to join in. We partnered with SF Design Week and hosted the event at our office space in the SF FiDi, where creatives and colleagues from agencies all over the Bay Area joined the audience. I co-wrote the structure, spoke as a panelist, and directed the video in what became a pivotal moment of action for Beyond.
